Fresh to Death

I’m constantly changing the look of my blog because I find myself bored and uninspired of the same old, same old. I want my blog to be exciting and fun and I want the material to interesting–something for everyone.

My friend has encouraged me to spice things up with this blog using other formats of communication. I usually find myself making excuses for not following his suggestions, but I think I’m ready to do something new. I know I have good ideas in my brain, but I have trouble getting them out.tumblr_mt5qtc4Tcq1rhhgbso1_500

My question is, what would you like to see more of?:

Vlogs (videos of me talking about things that I would normally be writing about)

Podcasts (essentially a radio show with me and a couple of my friends)

Tweeting (I have a twitter already but I don’t use it enough)

More Reviews (of Movies, TV shows, books, video games, music, restaurants, makeup products, etc.)

Travel Diaries (a record of where I venture to, what I do there, and where I want to go in the future)

Current Events (my random thoughts on news stories)

Giveaways (fun prizes and presents just for the fun of it!)

Crafty Posts (Where I try to make things…)

Poems (lolz)

Other Suggestions???

Or if you think my blog is just fine the way it is, that works too!

Awards!

I’ve been nominated for more awards! Can you guys believe how great I am? Me either! I’ve been terrible at following up on the acceptance part of the virtual awards. It’s not that I’m not grateful, because I totally am! It’s just that I always second guess everything! I look to see if other people have accepted them, and if they don’t, I just wait for the proper time. But now, I don’t care. I’m proud of my little blog, and the greatness it’s achieved!

I was awarded The Versatile Blogger Award from Adamsdaughter, I’ll Sleep When They’re Grown, and Random Female Blogger (or No Blog Intended). Each of these ladies makes me laugh or teaches me something on a daily basis. Seriously check them out if you haven’t already done so!

I’ll Sleep When They’re Grown also nominated me for the Tell Me About Yourself Award. The rules to both awards are pretty much identical. Here they are:

1. Thank the person/people who gave you the award.

2. Reveal 7 things about yourself (I recently wrote 10 things about myself, but I GUESS I could find more things to share..).

3. Pass the award on to 15 other bloggers. Let them know that they’re awarded!

About Moi:

1. Colin Hanks recently tweeted me back. Having a twitter account is now worth it.

2. I have a younger bro who’s almost done with college. He’s one of the funniest/strangest people that I know.

3. I’ve never actually had a real job. I’ve only ever babysat or volunteered. Babysitting is such good, tax-free money that it’s hard to resist.

4. I have a degree in History. I literally forget everything I’ve learned though. Seriously, its so embarrassing.

5. In the Chinese Zodiac I’m a Fire Rabbit. I’m a Fire Cat in the Vietnamese version. My astrological sign is Libra.

6. I’m 24 and married. My husband is 30. I would say our maturity levels meet at age 27. Does that make sense?

7. I’m not afraid to leave the house without makeup on. Actually, I prefer it.

Those awarded for both awards (in no particular order) :

Mooselicker

Michael Cargill

Adair You

Becoming Bitter

Evolution of Insanity

Brunch for Every Meal

You’ve Been Hooked

Guapola

Fyeahandroidtomato

Annndd yeah. That’s all the friends I have on here…! Tell me if I forgot about you!

Fall Favo(u)rites

This is going to be a seasonal break from my posts aboot Canada to talk about some of my favorite things in fall. Lets get started, shall we?

1. “Someone Like You” by Adele. Such a good song. I listen to it at least once a day. I think my neighbors are starting to get creeped/going to kill me. The song’s lyrics are kind of weird, “Nevermind, I’ll find someone like you.” Like, you’re really awesome and I love you but you don’t love me, so I’ll settle for someone like you, but they won’t be as good as you. Hmm that’s a pretty bad sitch. I’m still not convinced that Adele isn’t singing about Nutella though.

2. Pizza. I got such a good deal on pizza at Costco (I know, I know. I shop there now). It was 4 pizzas for $12. I think they are meant for at least two people, but surprisingly, I am able to finish them off without any help.

3. My birthday. It was on October 5th and even though I am getting super old (24 blehh), it’s still really nice to have 100 notifications on facebook. I felt the love. And if you didn’t wish me happy birthday, you are officially dead to me.

Perfect. Purrfect.

4. Pictures of cats. Cats are so awesome. And pictures of cats dressed up or just being weird really make me happy. Cats always look like they hate the world and it never ceases to put a smile on my face.

5. “Big Wheels” by Down With Webster. I really just like this song for the music video. It’s got a video game theme and I am kind of obsessed with gaming. There is a scene in the video where the band is go-kart racing and they filmed it like Mario Kart. I really appreciated it.

6. The Pacific Ocean. I can walk to the beach from my apartment in about 15 minutes. Granted, its cold outside and the water is freezing, but its kind of a great luxury to live by the ocean and stare out into it’s vastness. Yes, I’m gay.

7. Tweeting. I know, I know! A little slow on the uptake. The word “tweeting” kind of makes me want to re-think my life, but there is something so great about being able to write a message to some of my favorite celebs in hopes that they might read it. It seems kind of vain at times, but hey, if you like listening to yourself talk (or reading your own words) then it’s definitely for you.

8. Animal Crossing. Okay this is a video game for Wii where you start a life in this town and you make friends and eventually establish yourself as a capable townsperson. I was explaining to Paul how its really cool because you have to work for this guy in the town in order to pay off your house. And Paul was like, “Oh that’s weird. I have to do that in real life.” No one understands me. I was really stressed in this game trying to make a living. How belittling.

9. Tumblr. You can use tumblr for lots of different things. Many people use it to blog or to post pictures that they have taken. I post pictures of things that I wish I had. It’s like a virtual scrapbook of dreams. Yes. And on that note, I am finished.
